Overview of the expedition

Embark on an exhilarating 25-day journey to summit the iconic Mt. Ama Dablam (6,812m), often referred to as the “Matterhorn of the Himalayas.” Located in Nepal’s Mahalangur range, this stunning peak is renowned for its distinct pyramid shape and challenging Southwestern ridge route, first conquered in 1961.

The expedition begins with a thrilling flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, followed by a trek through the scenic trails of the Khumbu region. Each day involves 5–6 hours of trekking, allowing ample time to acclimatize before reaching Ama Dablam Base Camp. Climbers will experience a combination of hotel, lodge, and tent accommodations, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the journey.

Arrival in Nepal and Preparation
Day 01

Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400m)

Upon your arrival, you will be greeted at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Our team will transfer you to your hotel, where you can relax and acclimate to the city's altitude. This day is set aside for rest and preliminary preparations for the journey ahead.

Day 02

Rest and Preparation in Kathmandu

Spend the day finalizing your gear and attending a detailed expedition briefing covering the itinerary, safety protocols, climbing techniques, and emergency procedures. After the session, use the remaining time for last- minute shopping in Thamel and enjoy a short stroll around Kathmandu before the journey begins.

Journey to Ama Dablam Base Camp
Day 03

Drive to Ramechhap, Fly to Lukla, and Trek to Phakding (2,600m)

Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Our team will transfer you to your hotel, where you can relax and acclimate to the city's altitude. This day is set aside for rest and preliminary preparations for the journey ahead.

Day 04

Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Trek through beautiful forests of rhododendron and pine, passing traditional Sherpa villages along the way. You will cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Koshi River.

Namche Bazaar

Arrive in Namche Bazaar, the largest town in the Khumbu region, known for its vibrant markets and amazing views of Everest and surrounding peaks.

Day 05

Morning: Acclimatization Hike

Hike from Namche Bazaar to Everest View Hotel (3,880m) for stunning views of Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, and more. This helps with altitude adjustment.

Afternoon: Hike to Everest View Hotel

Hike up to Hotel Everest View for 2-3 hours

Afternoon: Return to Namche Bazaar

Descend back to Namche Bazaar, where you can explore the vibrant market with shops, cafes, and bakeries.

Evening

Arrive in Namche Bazaar, the largest town in the Khumbu region, known for its vibrant markets and amazing views of Everest and surrounding peaks.

Trekking Portion (Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp)
Day 06

Trek to Tyangboche (3860m)

Begin the trek towards Tyangboche Monastery, passing beautiful forests and villages along the way. Tyangboche is one of the most iconic places in the Everest region, offering a breathtaking view of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.

Continue to Debuche

After visiting the monastery, continue trekking to Debuche and stay at Rivendell Lodge.

Overnight in Debuche (3800m)

Day 07

Trek to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4600m)

Trek from Deboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp, stopping for lunch at Pangboche. The trail climbs gradually through high-altitude terrain, offering impressive views of Ama Dablam and the surrounding peaks. After Pangboche, continue along a scenic, rugged path that leads you directly to Ama Dablam Base Camp

Day 07-11

Rest and Acclimatization at Base Camp

Spend three days at Base Camp resting, acclimatizing, and preparing for the climb ahead. After arriving from Deboche with lunch in Pangboche, you’ll focus on recovery, gear checks, and essential technical training. The preparation phase concludes with a traditional Puja ceremony to bless the team and equipment before moving to higher camps.

Rotations Climb and Summit push and Return
Day 12-22

Rotation Climbs (Acclimatization & Preparation for Summit Push)

his phase combines acclimatization rotations with the final summit attempt. Over 10–12 days, you’ll rotate between Base Camp, Camp I (5,700m), Camp II (6,000m), and Camp III (6,400m), gradually adapting to altitude while navigating rocky, snowy, and exposed terrain. These climbs build strength, confidence, and familiarity with the route. On summit day, you’ll start early, ascending to Ama Dablam (6,812m) to enjoy breathtaking views of Everest, Lhotse, and the Khumbu region, before descending safely back to Base Camp for rest and celebration.

Day 23

Helicopter Return from Base Camp to Kathmandu

After completing the expedition, take a scenic helicopter flight from Base Camp back to Kathmandu. Enjoy aerial views of the Himalayas while avoiding the long trek back. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for rest and recovery.

Day 24

Contingency Day

Reserved for any delays or extra rest. Optional sightseeing or shopping in Kathmandu.

Day 25

International Departure

Transfer to the airport for your flight home, concluding the expedition with unforgettable memories and achievements.
